DIRECTOR’S BIO
Laura & Rob Sams (Sisbro Studios): Laura and Robert Sams are a sister/brother creative duo — writers, musicians, filmmakers, zoologists and educators. In 2001, they founded Sisbro Studios, a business that creates short films, books and educational media that inspire people to laugh, learn and explore their world. Their work has been honored with over 50 international awards, and they have performed at the Monterey Bay Aquarium to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History to international schools in Dubai to hundreds of schools in the United States.

Stephani Gordon (Open Boat Films): Specializing in producing award-winning science and conservation films, Open Boat Films was founded by Stephani Gordon, a former marine field biologist. Stephani’s driving goal is to share the stunning imagery and unique stories of rugged coastlines, rivers, mountains, and islands with others who are curious about the biological and cultural diversity of our wild world. Filming just about anywhere on earth, Open Boat Films has its homebase in Portland, Oregon.
