SYNOPSIS
What are we to the increasingly refined AI systems of that track our biometrics and data? A targeted campaign by artist Jillian Mayer examines these new ways of looking. Mimicking the appropriative gestures of advertising and prosumer media, Mayer’s direct message explores what can be obtained from a face. This video is part of a multi part campaign including websites and physical billboards in LA and NY.

DIRECTOR’S BIO
Jillian Mayer is an artist and filmmaker living in South Florida. Through videos, online experiences, photography, telephone numbers, performance, sculpture and installation, Jillian’s work explores how technology affects our identities, lives and experiences. Her works and performances have been premiered at galleries and museums such as MoMA PS1, MoMA, MoCA:NoMi, Perez Museum, BAM, Bass Museum, the Contemporary Museum of Montreal with the Montreal Biennial (2014), the Guggenheim Museum and film festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, and the New York Film Festival. Jillian helps run Borscht Corp.
